Cell phone manufacturers typically announce their phones well before they ship. In rare cases, a phone is secret until shipped. So most new technology releases or announcements will follow later than the X1. I would be concerned if the X1 doesn't make it in Sept. The problem with HTC, Qualcomm, etc is the chipset is available to who ever wants to license it and HTC turns out tons of phones, therefore, making WM devices appear out of date or standard quickly. |
