Ah, ok, I see. I actually started to do that you know. Like I did create a sub-account and simply copied a few emails over to see what happens. That was like two days ago.

I have to sit down and see what happens when I reply to those emails from my handheld for example, see how the system handles it.

But yes, what you say makes perfect sense and thanks for the explanation. I just have to find some way then, to do an "activesync over the air", so that I don't have to phsyically hook up my handheld to the computer anymore and hence be able to send emails when I am out and about.

But I'll get into more detail another time. For now, your solution does solve my initial problem but I know I'll bump up against more.

I think I might try using IMAP, see how it works, since this might more allow me to do what I want. Haven't used the protocol in like 6 years maybe but I guess I can run both the POP and IMAP in parallel and see how things work out.
