Default Samsung SGH-i900 X1's only competitor (IMO)

It's got EVERYTHING except for a qwerty. Evne got a 5mp camera, WM6.1, gps, 16GB internal HDD (holy ****), microsdhc slot for ANOTHER 8GB (Dammmm), 3.5 inch touchscreen with gesture recognition (WM7 upgrade anyone?). Here's the link:

Sure it looks like an iphone clone, but it's Samsung, and when your friend with the iphone says it's a clone just take a nice picture of him saying that and show him the screen. I would say that as of now, this is the X1's only competitor in terms of unreleased phones.

Quite amazing.
But I wouldn't buy it because of the qwerty.
I'm sure the camera is great as I had a long xperience with I750 camera and was amazing.
Also, that 16GB internal storage will sure make the device feel alot faster and will be a nice have on phone memory.

Still, I need a qwerty to wait.
Specifications are higher than XPERIA but I cannot reply on the touch screen as the only input method.

Default Nice, But..

It seemes to lack a high screen resolution, but other than that it appears very nice.
Id like some higher resolution like 360x600.
The 480x800 of the Xperia is maybe even a bit too high - I wonder if you can actually read text clearly if it's lines only take a single pixel (so lets say one character is 5x8 pixel) without really good eyes or a magnifying glass

Anyone had an impression on that of the Xperia? The pictures don't tell everything...
Also, i'd be interested to hear what others think is the perfect resolution?
Doen't a higher resolution eat up the battery faster?

True, that is why they placed a 1500mah battery.
You will end up getting the same consumption as the TyTN II.
It is the tax of having a fully loaded phone.
I'm sure an extended battery will show by Seidio or other manufacturer that will have more mah.
An extra charger at the office and another in the car would do the deed till these batteries show.
Also, you can buy yourself an extra battery if it can't wait.
But since we are waiting for the DEVICE to launch, i recon we can wait for a battery

To me, the raphael is just a touch diamond with a qwerty, and also the raphael is supposedly coming out on CDMA first.

I was thinking the Raphael worthy competition as in it being smaller, yet with TV out and eGPS instead of aGPS.

How poor is the Tytn II's battery really? On GSM arena, it says the phone is capable of 6 hours for talk time and up to 400 hours for standby. That is pretty darn good, if you ask me. I would imagine a lot of the applications consume a fair amount of power, but is it really that bad? Right now, I've got a crappy Samsung A900 and the battery life is absolute crap. Only two hours of talk time maybe a day or two of standby. Horrible.

The Tytn II battery isn't better => it's comparable to the Samsum A900

Samsung SGH-i900 ain't X-1 competitor to me only because it lacks a full keyboard.
SGH-i900 might be a competitor to the iPhone but not to the X-1
