Kinda prefer it's keyboard to X1's.

By the way, specs link for T-Mobile MDA Vario IV (aka Raphael) should be this instead. T-Mobile MDA Compact IV's the Diamond.

Eh. Smaller battery and screen. The Keyboard is nicer though.

Nicer you say? I think the spacing between keys and the backlit on the X1 is more comfortable..Though the keys on the Vario IV seem bigger. Matter of priority I guess. Smaller battery indeed, I don't mind the lower reso screen that much.. but it has ExtUSB. A very good thing for me about the X1 is its 3.5mm jack. The expandable microSD slot, compared to its twinbrother the Daimond, makes so much more attractive. I might just be my pick, if they get ExtUSB sorted out!

Good catch. When I was looking at those initial specs, I thought the thickness seemed too thin and I was correct. But, it looks like the X1 is slightly thinner which is good. SizeEasy Link.

I don't like the keyboard very much. I also don't like how the screen isn't as wide as the keyboard, so you're typing while looking to the left instead of straight up. the X1's screen is a bit bigger and more centered. As a matter of fact, it looks kinda dumb to me. The xperia overall is a more sexy device.

Well I guess the only thing I really like about the raphael keyboard is the ctrl key. Very handy for ctrl+c, ctrl+v ect. Early renderings of the X1 showed it with a ctrl key but is has been changed to the smiley face key (wtf is that?!).

Agreed though, 3.5mm jack is very nice.
