Default Sony Ericsson C905 "Shiho"

Checkthis phone out.

http://blog.se-nse.net/2008/06/10/re...905-aka-shiho/

It's got a pretty similar feature set to the Xperia (WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth), but with a kick: an 8.1 megapixel camera! How's that for bragging rights?

It's looking really good to me because it's cheaper than the Xperia and it's still got alot of the things that I want. If only it had Windows Mobile or Android, then I'd be sold.

EDIT: Here's a video.

I'm planning to get this as my second phone. Originally was thinking of G900 or C902 but couldn't decided between the wifi and camera. But this has everything I want and more!

If it was an actual smartphone (say UIQ) then it could compete with the X1. The C905 is still a feature phone with what appears to be one helluva camera.

Ultimately, I still want the X1 for the full keyboard, touch screen and most of all WVGA!!!

My wife was in a conference call yesterday and one of the presenters was showing off some pictures she had taken - my wife was stunned with how good they were - almost professional looking - well she asked what camera the person used and she confessed it was a Sony Ericsson's 5 meg cell phone. Seems that the Sony phones are good as portable cameras too

I agree, at this point I'm so sold on the idea of a fully customizable OS like UIQ, WM, or Android. So pretty much for me, it's smartphone or bust.

IMHO, the Nokia 5MP camera phones are superior. Not to mention s60 is a very good OS. It bridges the gap between feature phone and WM. I think its a nice medium for a cell phone. I was a really big WM fan, but slow ugly UI finally got to me. Hopefully, these new processors and huge RAM amounts with SE's panel interface will bridge that gap. In the end, I could always keep my N95-4 since most of the features are already there. But with the Blackberry Bold and iPhone 3G coming in July, I hope SE confirms a release date soon. Or else I will say good bye to this wonderful community and chalk this up as typical SE late release of out dated hardware.
