Play.com pre-orders "Packing"

Today my play.com pre-order state has just changed to "Packing" which means that it should be with me tomorrow! Wooohoo!

just ordered from play.com for £499.99, how much was yours when you pre-ordered it? i got the black one and it says "in stock" whilst the silver one is still "coming soon" thought they would come out same day..

question: have you bought something from play.com before? because it's the first time i bought something off the internet. sorry noob

Mine was £499.99.

I believe the black ones are leading the silver ones by a few days. No idea why - I think I prefer the black one anyhow.

Play.com are very reliable in my experience. The only slight annoyance is that that will only ship electronic devices to the card holder's address, rather than a work address. But on the upside they are usually delivered next-day rather than the 2-3 days all their other stuff takes (but most of that comes from Jersey, so it's understandable).

I just got off the phone to MobileFun and they confirmed that they received some of the Black versions which have already been sold but they are still awaiting stock of the Silver version! :-(

That's good to know. Because most of the people here are ordering from expansys but it's a bit expensive than play.com

I was ordering with superetrader but i have now cancelled, im going for play.com as ive had good experiences with them in the past. im hoping its quite fast for delivery, superetrader told me they wouldnt get them in until 7/11, which is no good for me

Yup, I also pre-ordered mine from play.com, as of 27th October 18:37 it still says "packing" So I don't know If i'll get it tomorrow. I live in Glasgow so I'm not getting my hopes up for tomorrow, I was expecting Wednesday or even Thursday...

i pre-ordered mine from clove.co.uk and it costs £508, they will have extra stock on 29/10/08. did anyone tried this website?
