Default Exact Screen Dimensions Please

Hi everyone,

In anticipation of receiving my X1 I would like to buy a screen protector for it but as my usual supplier does not have it I may be able to buy another that fits but have no idea what the exact dimensions are... can someone get out a ruler and let me know??

Thanks

Jonesy

hi Joesy,

The Xperia screen has an ASPECT RATIO of 9:15
With a 3 inches diagonal you can make the math.

that is 1.54 inches x 2.57 inches

0r 39.12 mm x 65.28mm

You know the ratio of one side to the other (800:480). Mr Pythagoras would be ashamed of you.

Yup, 15:9 is right. As posted above, simplifies to 5:3 or 1.66667:1.

I ended up with 1,54" x 2,57" or in mm: 39,11mm x 65,278mm

Exclamation High resolution wins!

A few more interesting numbers about Xperia screen:

XPERIA
* Screen Area = 3.96"
* Pixels per Sq In. (pixel density) = a whopping 96898 pixels !!
* dpi (pixels per inch) 311 pixels per linear inch.

Just for curiosity, compared with iPhone he, he ,he

iPhone:
* pixel density = 27208 pixels/sq inch hmmm...
* dpi = 165

Dumb Questions:
A- which one is sharper, and offer better detail?
B- What the maximum number of colors, simultaneously that each phone can display?

I bet many of you will fail this dumb test HA! HA! HA!
