if you buy unlocked version from uk, it will work fine in india, and clove store is in uk which means you dont need any unlocking.

i have some questions:
1. do we have to pay (in india) any custom duty.
2. do we have to pay vat, which is mentioned on clove's site. (as per my knowldge, that VAT is only for UK )

I had the same doubts... So just to take a chance, i ordered a 4 gb class 4 Memory card... the final price from pounds to rupees came to Rs. 1732. I paid thro my credit card, and i am waiting to see how much money they take, i am expecting rs 400 odd more... I'll tell you as soon as i see the transaction...

Dont take a chance without clarifications beacuse i think tax slab changes at Rs2000, if u r importing any thing.

total duty includes: custom duty, Basic,Excise,SAD,CESS,NCCD,ANTI DUMPING DUTY, countervailing duty of 16% and some more.

and there few other thing for instance seller is sending by normal postal services or courier. in case of postal sometime duty increase by 15% more.

I think its better to wait or ask any friend from europe to take in india.

please let me know if get any update
