Looks good on paper and video, but will have to see how well it works in the real world.

Nokia building quality has been going down since the start of the N-series and the worst thing about that phone is the operating system and the incompetent processor that i guess will be similar to their N-96

Looks impressive on paper, and the design looks nice and clean too. Let's see how they all come together and perform in real world tests. I'll bet you the battery life won't be that great.

The intent for the N97 is a showpiece, and its sole purpose is to push the bar up to make competitors sweat . Nokia will lose money on every N97 they sell.

I'll stick to my X1. My bet is that SE already has the next Xperia in the works and will make an announcement in Q1 2009.

The N97 is not enough of an advancement over the Xperia for me to consider (megapixels don't even factor with me). My next phone will have to be worlds better than the X1. Not sure how great the new Symbian Touch interface is anyways.

I'm more anticipating the new Windows Mobile (6.5 and 7.0), plus any X1 updates from SE.

the n97 is tempting as my previous nokia was the n95 and it was very reliable not to mention video and images were excellent quality which is more than i can say about the X1. But xperia I think is great overall for a winmo phone.

For the first time I am considering a Nokia phone, but I want to see it live.

in 2009 we will see incredible phones, Small form factor, New generation OS, 4G connectivity, High resolution, lightning speed graphics, 800mhz CPU 1/2" in size, Lower power, 7 days recharges. Those components are not future technology there are already in production.

By the time they release the N97 who's going to want that?. A huge almost 5" inches Tall and almost 1" inch thick. low resolution with old technology.

Beside 32GB what else is new? Xperia, Iphone, Touch Pro, Touch HD all these phones already have what the N97 has. Well... who's going to miss a compass.

You know what? Enjoy the whatever phone you have right now and next year get a real WOW phone. If you still want the N97 you have at least 6 months to hold your breath.
