Maybe they're working on Android for the X1...

They are now officially saying that SE will have a "high end" phone with Android next year! Could this be the X2?

Xperia is a line of high-end feature smartphones, and won't be tied to just Windows Mobile. The emphasis is on the superior user experience that the Xperia line will bring. Let's see how SE will extend and improve upon the X1 with an Android phone.

My take - Windows Mobile and Android are just stop gap measures and products, while they wait for the new Symbian Foundation OS to be released. We may well see 1 or 2 more WM and Android products in the meanwhile. The Panel interface will become the common user interface for all Xperia products.
