New text message tones

I am wanting my X1 to play a mp3 tone from my sd card when i get a new text message. I have been into the windows files and found the rings folder that contains the X1 ringtones and dropped a mp3 file into it but i can only use it for voice calls. I was wondering if the tones for text messages are in another file but i cant seem to find one. Anyone any ideas.

when suspented as in you pressing the turn off button ever so slightly

the sd interface is disabled to save batt power
and could not be turned on in time for the phone to access
the sdcard for ringtones or sms tones or other notification tones
so it don't work when stored on sd cards

So is there a file on the phone i can drop a mp3 into so i can select it for a message tone.

just drop your mp3s into your mydocs on the phone and they'll show up in your notifications options for the sounds that play.

Have tried that but they only show for incoming voice calls not for messages.
