US: AT&T Medianet service plan??

While trolling the AT&T Wireless web site, I came across their "Medianet" unlimited internet plan, for $15/month(+the voice plan, of course). Thing is, they'll only sell it for their web-capable phones, not PDA products.

I was thinking about buying the cheapest phone they've got that they'll sell Medianet for, and then moving the SIM to a shiny new X1.

Is anyone out there running an AT&T MediaNet SIM on their X1? Any issues? I expect to occasionally use the X1 as a WAN modem on my laptop (June Fabrics PDANET), so a traffic limit would be an issue.

I do. I have the media net unlimited and use it with my X1a with zero problems. I am also able to tether it to a laptop problem free. Blazing speeds as well. Highest speed I achieved over ATT HSPA was around 2.0Mbps downstream, 700Kpbs upstream.

I'm using MEdia net too.

About 5 years ago I got an Sony Ericsson s710a with the unlimited mediaNet and 1500 texts for $20 per month and since then have had a Blackjack, Treo Pro, and X1i, all with no issues.
