| So my friend has an Xperia x1i (Black, if that makes any difference...) and he says if he flashes an x1a rom to it, it'll change the bands as well so they work better in the US. I told him it's impossible to change a phone's bands as it's more in the hardware than software (antennas?). So who is right my friends? I call upon the experts! :P |

| You are correct - It's a hardware issue not a programming one. One must have the correct transmitter/receiving components There are some overlaps in the bands used on X1i and X1a so there are areas in the US where the X1i works great |
