no not really
unlike computers
pda's dont have the option of slow virtual mem
so adding more memory dont speed them up really
it just mean that programs which require more
mem dont say they cant start up if many programs
are already running

This I didn't know, Although these devices do not have a HDD, I figured that the ROM and RAM would work in the similar fashion.

I thought, like a normal desktop OS, it would load critical and reusable data into the Memory, the more mem. the more of the app could be loaded resulting in faster load times as info has been transferred from rom to ram.

The other problem though is the CPU load, more apps open = less CPU cycles per app = slower performance
