Sony Ericsson Announces the XPERIA X1

Sony Ericsson has just announced the XPERIA™ X1 - their first Windows Mobile powered smartphone. The XPERIA X1 features a 3-inch touch-screen WVGA (840x480 pixel) screen, arced slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a GPS receiver (aGPS), FM radio, optical joystick navigation, and a 3.2 megapixel camera. It has WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 built-in, and supports EDGE and 3G. Displayed at the Mobile World Congress 2008, it boasts of its "XPERIA™ Panels", a nine-panel-thumbnail launcher, that can be displayed horizontally, vertically, or fanned like cards. Each panel can be customized to display a collection of widgets that you can group together based on your preference.
