Who here as done the Firmware update

Me today as I lost my Bluetooth with the Audi as I was driving. Grrrr.
Had to update all my apps but this time I put them on the memory card as I got a 8GB one from Sandisk.

I did the update from Austria R1 ROM to Switzerland R2 ROM.

Main thing is that reception and speed is much better. And the crashes are mostly gone.

i did the generic UK one and everything is stable so far

im frustrated that people give u the rom files but no instruction on how to install it. i downloaded the r2 for generic uk version to my pc then put it on my storage card. when i select the file from my phone it says "there is no application associated with...". could sum 1 plz help me.

I did the update from the sony website: Sony Ericsson - Support - X1 - Update Service Application

i tried that also but it said it was up to date. i have the august rom.

You just need to go through the update process anyway

mines generic uk. and EMMA wont let me register.

I installed the Generic_UK ROM update, and so far so good. Very stable and slightly better responsiveness and performance. Memory usage is certainly improved.
