Default Windows Mobile Device Center

I have now had my X1 for 5 days and during the first 2-3 days everything was fine but today when i connect my X1 to my laptop, Windows Mobile Device Center says error and won't connect to my phone at all. If i disconnect my phone then Windows Mobile Device Center says disconnected. Anyone experiencing the same problem or know how to rectify this?

On the phone try going to start->settings->connections->USB to PC and disable advanced network functionality.

That setting really doesnt change anything. You will still be able to access the web on the pda through the WMDC connection. The advanced network mode tends to be buggy sometimes though.

I know in the past I have had issues with MS Active sync connecting with my pdas - a weakness with MS software. Once I fixed things by uninstalling MS activesync on the pc and then reinstalling it and resyncing it the pda. Also check to be sure that your X1 is configured correctly to sync the right way - I assume you are using a usb cable right? or are you using bluetooth? Last but not least do a goole search on using windows mobile sync issues - which I could be of more help

Hmm. I thought the network setting would do it. That solves lots of issues. What it the error that you are getting? Try deleting the sync partnership both from WMDC and on your x1 then connect again. Also, what error does it give you? On the X1 if you view the log it should give you an error code. Searching that code might yeild a solution.
