things are looking much better for this phone.

On bangleboy's review, he got a new ROM in about 10 days ago and says the panels are at iphone speeds, and his device is on of the earlier hardware versions with low ram.

he also mentions there is a touchflo3d folder, and that there is some sort of interface in the works that has not been shown yet. I don't think we have seen anything yet with this phone.

Here's 2 more from the same people. They're all in Mandarin (Chinese), but I just love staring at the X1, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

i noticed that too.

I like the diamond and the touch flow, but looking at the x1 now, the panels in combination with regular windows will clearly make it more productive and flexible. i have a feeling touchflow " locks you in" too much into its own world.

I really hope theres some feedback when u slide out the keyboard in the final version

Like a sound going off or the LEDs flashing

Because I don't see that happening in any videos I've seen

Maybe its in the settings and you have to enable it...I hope so

Without having to push the Flip Orientation button, either.

The latest HTC phones have a control panel called "sliding sound" that allows you to choose a sound that goes off when you open/close the keyboard. This will most likely have it too. I turn it off though. No need for it. As long as the KB backlight comes on automatically.

And yes, I agree. The screen flip is very fast. I wish some of these reviewers would show something interesting. Like free RAM. Everyone who touches them seem to be people who have never touched windows mobile and just point out the obvious.

Cant wait for a release. Almost there.
