But you're right, there's nothing new though =/

That site has been up for a while, it is a collaberation between SE and their PR company.

TBH its a bit naff, I have found more news from this site and others like it than their own, its badly updated and absolutly nothing new... I followed one of their links to another site and went through 5 of HTC phones before I found info on the X1

OMG ~ I can't wait for this phone to come out! :-))))) I've been reading this site for a loooong time now, drooling for the post that says the X1 is being sold in the U.S. heh heh I just looked at that new X1 site, and am I the only one that thinks the girl sounds computerized? At first I thought I detected an English/Australian (?) accent, but when you really listen to it, it does sound a little technified (my new word for the day). Also, what cracked me up, is that as awesome as this device is, it's primary purpose is a phone, right? and it's only at the very end of the presentation that the narrator mentions, almost like an afterthought - something like "now let's see how it works as a phone", lol. She has pretty hands, obviously a hand model. I bet a hand model could afford one of these phones. I'm a CSI, so sorry if I got a bit analytical over the presentation. :-) I have been watching this site for a long time & whomever the webmaster is, you've done a great job, luv this site! I am hoping AT&T is gonna get it, that's who I'm with. I am also wondering if there is going to be an iPhone-esque line when the stores have it....

Pammy is right, it seems like in ALL of these videos, the phone aspect is like an afterthought. Not that it's THAT surprising, as we all know what a phone does, but kinda makes me concerned about the call quality. I've never owned a Sony Ericson, so I can't really say... Does anyone have any insight?

EDIT: Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, but they must have reintroduced the new color, because it's on the main site... Didn't they supposedly axe it?

hehe, i love how they dumbed it down so everyone could understand it. Easy English, the mentioning of a "headphone connection point", etc. So awkwardly and funny at the same time. Oh, and I thought the phone/browser has kinetic scrolling (webcast), why don't they show in the flash demo?
Whatever, I just hope it's available around x-mas here.

Thanks Bubble, glad you picked up on that, too, lol. Even though it's function as a *phone* is last on the list...I need to admit that, okay, yeah - it's last on my list, too ~ not really, but I'm a texting/email fiend, need to store my photos & tunes. Also have concerns about the phone quality. Am a former Treo & iPhone user, now using a Crackberry cuz I dropped my iPhone, I mean I killed it...it wasn't pretty...but the reception sucked (can we say that word on here?) on the iPhone & it is jam up on the Crackberry Curve - really, really good - so is the speaker, really loud (good for tunes). I just got an email from work re: a bonus we're getting -- this my friends is going to be saved for my Xperia!!! I can't wait! I can't wait! I can't wait! :-)))))))))))))))))

Ugh I watched all of that, and I HATE that computerized voice.

Also, I think the X1 looks way better in youtube videos. Even though those are lower quality, at least you get to see the X1 in the wild, at angles where the metal shines and reflects. Makes it look so much better than that bland video.
