| I've checked the unwired video that supposed to be very close to the final product, but that button was missing! I also seen screenshots from that swedish site that posted in another thread, the button was missing as well! even Magnus Handerson himself opened the keyboard in every press event which demonstrated the X1!!! the button should exist like this!!! ![]() vs (taken from that swedish site) ![]() and ![]() now we should all worried! why? because if the button really missing in the final product then we HAVE TO OPEN THE KEYBOARD every time just to switch the screen into landscape mode WHICH IS VERY VERY VERY SUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!!!!! ![]() I'm sorry for the rant, but I just frustrated, they didn't give the device any accelerometer and then forget to include the screen rotation button??????????????!!! unbelieveable if this is going to be true! |

| I'm not 100% sure why it is such a big deal, I agree it shouldn't really be that way but it shouldn't impact our enjoyment of the phone too much, even if we have to open the keypad, it is spring loaded and everybody has commented on how easy and smooth it is to open and close, its is SE first WM phone, they are not going to get everything right first time, the phone has been delayed for months, the future versions will be sound. |

I also think if it going to use on screen button then every developer should include it while they program their apps, and it will be easy to be missed! |

| Where I can see the screen rotation without the keyboard would be useful would be the following: - reading a document in Word or PDF - web browsing (granted some keying in of URL is needed, but if everything is bookmarked, or linked, then keyboard gets in the way) - watching a movie Maybe SE has chosen to do away with the hardware button, provided the button on-screen, where the rotation is functional. This might be easier to control and you don't have to deal with hardware I/O issues. |
