Another thread! woo! ![]() right, in a couple of the photos i've seen there is what looks like a standard headphone jack (3.5 mm TRS i think they're called) on it. I know it sounds daft, but it's a big seller for me. The headphones that come with the proprietary connections are always just terrible, and i don't want to faff about with a convertor. So what's the dealio? The whitepaper doesn't seem to mention it and there's nothing on the website i can see. cheers!

I think I heard someone mention in a CES video coverage in YouTube, that it does use a standard jack. While most Sony devices do, Sony has a habit of adding an additional (but optional) connector on the main jack to add a wired remote.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it is a standard jack too. The one thing I'm wondering is since it is manufactured by HTC will the USB port be regular miniUSB or extUSB. In all the pictures it looks like a regular USB port. extUSB would be a great combination because it would allow charge/sync/stereo/mic all through one port, and when on the go you can plug in your favorite 3.5mm phones. I love extUSB because it makes it easy to dock in the car. Just one connection to charge and play music/GPS directions though my car head unit. Right now though, even on the live models it does not appear to be ext usb. If it is not, I don't know where else a headset would plug in cause there aren't any other jacks.
