Default UK version work on ATT 3G?

Looks like the US version will not be out soon. I was wondering if the UK version will work on ATT 3G.

I just got this email from Clove:

"The bands the X1 has is: GSM (QUAD-BAND) 850, 900, 800, 1900 EDGE HSDPA HSUPA UMTS 900, UMTS 1900, UMTS 2100 "It does not have the band you require." Regards Sales TeamClove Technology TEL: +44 (0)1202 552936FAX: +44 (0)1202 552937www.clove.co.uk"

The UMTS band that we require is 3G_850 band V to work with ATT. I think the guys at Clove do not want/need to sell to the US; I suspect they are not telling the truth about the band issue. Anybody in the US can confirm if the X1 model sold in the UK actually works with ATT 3G_850 band 5? If it is confirmed that it does work, we will take our business elsewhere; they will be screaming/begging for our business specially during the Big Bang Crisis.

I think what they said is correct - ATT uses 1900 in some areas but not all from what I remember reading.

Some of the UK sites are showing that the 3G bands are 850/1900/2100. Has anyone ordered from these sites, please do confirm on the bands.

Even, Tracy & Matt's recent review supports the claim: http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/...ia-x1-review
