Default camera as compared to n95?

The n95's picture quality is excellent, how will the Xperia stack up to it?

That's a good question. I own a DSLR Canon EOS which is great for important occasion but hard to carry everywhere everytime.

With the built in 3.2M pixel camera of the X-1, i'm expecting to use it as a complementary digital camera, for everyday. I'm quite confident about Sony for the quality of the digital camera feature.

ik think the camera of the X1 is better then the N95. My SE K800i makes already better pictures then the N95. And K800i also has a 3.2 mp camera.

is'nt it a bit disapointing that the xperia doesnt have a 5 megpixel camera? i mean 3.2 is alright but for it to be a stand alone camera it should have 5 megapixels.

Phone cameras are not meant to be stand alone camera replacements. I think 3.2 is plenty good enough. Whats the point of a 5mp cam? You won't find professional photographers using X1's. All we need is a nice good quality cam. More mp does not necessarily mean better picture quality.

Like posted above the 3.2mp in the K800i takes better photos than the 5mp in the N95. Its not just about how many pixels.
