Should I be getting 3G??

I am in Jamaica and I got my X1 thinking i would be sailing on 3G seeing that Claro has entered the market and introduced 3G. However all I been getting is Edge on my X1 while even the SE Z750 been getting 3G and even the big H on it. I was told by someone at the company that the 3G is only supported on their 850 band, I am Using an X1i. Should I be getting 3G?

Nope. X1i doesn't receive 3G on the 850MHz band. You need the X1a.
