Default How useful is the 'Arc slider' design?

My brothers got the HTC Tytn 2 (aka Kaiser, AT&T Tilt) which allows you to tilt the screen to ANY prefered angle when the keyboard is out. This is a brilliant feature and I think the only feature that would want to make someone choose the Tytn 2 over the X1.

For thoose of you who have seen or used the X1 at the events please give your opinons on whether or not the tilted screen on X1 is at the right angle and if the Arc sliding mechanism is better than the Tytn 2's tilting mechanism.

The screen on the tilt does let you tilt it to a much better angle. It was a nice feature to have but IMO not a selling point. Though the one I played with was an early model and the build quality was not great, the slider on the X1 feels more solid. The tilting screen on the tilt makes it feel a little bit shaky the way touching the screen will make it move. With the X1, once it slides out it is solid. I think the angle on the X1 is fine. But I use a mogul with zero angle right now, so I guess anything would work for me.

I dont think the tilting screen will really be considered for those choosing between the X1 and tilt. It will be the screen size/resolution (+X1), attractiveness (+X1), processor speed (+X1), battery life (+X1), GPS and graphics performance (??), and price (+Tilt) IMHO.

The arc slider will also make the slide mechanism more solid and less prone to wobble. Arching movements naturally tend to be more stable than lateral motion.

Yeah, despite the not-so-great build quality, the slider felt solid.
