Default Thinks Sony will show the X2 at CES?

Cause I gotta' admit, I don't think I'll be getting the X1, even though it kills me inside. But hopefully SE will learn from it's mistake and make the price a bit more feasible for people who don't make 7 figures.

They show the new iPhone every year, what do you think?

The iPhone is coming up short on features, so Apple can get away with an update every year.

You will be waiting forever for an X1 successor from SE. I bet it won't release until the end of the X1 life-cycle unless it is a lesser-featured (cheaper) or a much-greater-featured model (more expensive--which probably isn't feasible at the moment). The only WM device they would release sooner would be a "keyboardless X1".

There have been no updates to the X1 firmaware yet and WM7 isn't out yet. Hell, we don't even have a decent selection of panels yet. There are so many clues as to why the 'X2' won't hit the market anytime soon. My guess is the end of 2009 when WM7 hits.

IMHO, get the X1 and enjoy it for the time being.

I think the Xperias will differ more than just OS. I would think, Symbian low-end phones, Android mid-range smartphones, and WM high-end smartphones.

The X1a hasn't even really been selling in the US and Canada yet, so I don't think SE will make any significant announcement for the Xperia line during CES. At the most, they might give some teasers on current and future developments. SE will more likely make some kind of major announcement in February 2009 during the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona.

Well whatever it is HTC isnt going to be making it.

i think SE dropped HTC from manufacturing their next handset because HTC doesnt seem to care about 2d video drivers for some reason. I, for one, will not be purchasing another HTC made or designed phone because they have wronged me in this area more than once.

And I think the reason why SE wants to drop HTC is also the delay HTC made for SE.....

at CES I'll be complaining to them about how I had to get an X1i, especially now that AT&T is transitioning 3g to the 850 band.
