Where will you buy the X1?

I'm sure most of you will probably get the phone as soon as it is available in sept. and if that's the case you'll probably have to get it unlocked. I've bought all of my unlocked phones from Ebay in the past (new of course). Anyone else get them from somewhere else? Is ebay the best when it comes to this sort of thing?

if it comes to at&t, i'm going to get it through there. if its not out for at&t ill buy it unlocked online somewhere.

Mobile City Online (MCO) is my favorite place to buy high end unlocked phones.

Is the working assumption something to the extent that the phone will not be available in certain areas or through certain carriers? I've not used a SIM card before, so I don't know the process, but is it easy to acquire a SIM card then swap it into the desired phone?

yup u can get a sim from any gsm carrior and pop it in your unlocked phone.

I would not want att's lock down and messed up firmware. I'll take the unlocked version from SE, thank you very much.
