Default X1 on Ebay???

Ok I was looking at a french xperia blog and came across this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...%3D2%26fvi%3D1

The seller actually says outright that is is new in box. The seller also is located in the US; if this says anything about his credibility, idk. The starting price was $650, and had jumped to a winning bid of $830 with 22 bids. The buyer actually gave the seller positive rating (but it could just be another account). The blog emailed the seller to see if it was a fake and has still received no response. I hope this is the real deal but I SERIOUSLY doubt it, but it's still interesting to see that the X1 has fans willing to bid on a most likely fake item. All the more reason for Sony to come out with this phone already!!!!.

I don't think it is completely implausible. Didn't a user buy an unreleased Blackberry Bold on Ebay then write a lengthy review of it?

Looks like there was a winning bid of US$830 and the seller has a great feed back rating. Hope the winning bidder will post info on the phone here.

I'll contact him for ya! I'll lead him to this website if I can.

Update: Contacted both (the buyer and the seller) and I threatened them to have some proof other wise there will be consequences. But I'm going to tell you right now, there is a 99.99% chance this is fake, if Sony did in fact finish the product and is in production, they wouldn't wait for competitors to come out, so I call bs on this one.

2nd Update: Well no reply so far (it's barely been an hour), but I contacted the scammer for the last time to prove himself, I'll be reporting this to Paypal in 24 hours, I already contacted ebay and reply. "You can solve this peacefully by contacting the seller" He's SCAMMING YOU MORONS! He also changed his e-bay account to another one... all signs point to a scam.

I did try contacting the seller. No threats though. Just casually asked how he liked the device. Knowing that the buyer could be in on the scam too, I decided to play dumb.

eh since they both sell phones I'm assuming, the seller didn't think the bidding would go as high as $830 and so he used another account to win, so that he wouldn't be reported for stealing almost a $1000. The more money involved in the scam, the more likely ebay/paypal will investigate etc.
